12/27/09: Free Read—ALWAYS
Each year, the Eloisa James/Julia Quinn Bulletin Board holds a holiday anthology writing contest. The limit was 100 to 500 words and, for this year, the entry had to contain three out of these elements: a candle, a kiss, a bell, a sugarplum, a wise man. At the end, BB members vote on the entries and a winner is chosen. And this year . . .
I won!
(The prize was a signed Eloisa James book.)
This is my entry below, and although there are things I want to change and correct, I’ve resisted the urge (the only thing I am adding back in are the italics, which were omitted for some reason).
